The COVID-19 outbreak has occurred globally, including in all regions of Indonesia. Children, especially young women and girls, have been primarily affected by this pandemic.
Of 11,708 children suspected to have COVID-19, 318 of them died. Meanwhile, of 3,928 children confirmed to have COVID-19, 59 of them died.
Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (Plan Indonesia) conducted a COVID-19 Pandemic Emergency Response from April-December 2020 focusing on the provision of clean water, hygiene and sanitation packages, education for all children, and child protection including from the gender-based violence.
