Plan International is an independent agency and humanitarian organization that promote child rights and girls’ equality. Plan International Indonesia Foundation (YPII) is a Part of Plan International that works also to empower youth economic through Youth Economic Empowerment (YEE) Program. One of the project carried out for youth economic empowerment is Green Skill Project.
Green Skill cohort one ended in 2018. Currently YPPI launched Green Skill project 2.0 to support and strengthen the impact of the program for young people. This project will be carried out in 2 districts in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) that is Northern Central Timor (TTU) and Southern Central Timor (TTS).
By this project, YPII together with its strategic partners will strengthen and provide support in form of various trainings to improve youth efforts in the field of horticultural agriculture and will also be capacitated with gender understanding aimed at gender equality for young women.
In addition to increase business in the field of horticultural agriculture, it is also necessary to increase capacity related to gender and inclusion to achieve equality for young women. To achieve, support and intervention needed from competent parties on gender and inclusion.
II. Objectives of Assignment
Gender consultant is assigned to provide technical support related to the integration of gender issue into the implementation of Green Skill 2.0 project.
III. Scope of Work/Duties and Responsibilities
To achieve the above objectives, Gender Consultant has the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provide support to Green Skill Team to design/ develop effective and qualified project intervention to achieve equality for young women. This task includes integrating Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) values into Green Skill training module.
- Provide technical assistance and supervision on the integration of GESI in Green Skill 2.0 implementation. It is also including the task of providing training related GESI to youth beneficiaries of the program.
- Conduct advocacy related GESI to related partners including the government, development partners and GNO.rtner, developing GESI
